Benvenuto! Welcome to UNICO Merrimack Valley and our website!

UNICO, with over 100 chapters throughout the United States, is the largest Italian-American service organization in the country and this year celebrates its 102nd anniversary! Our Merrimack Valley Chapter has been going strong for 30+ years now, and we honor those past and present members who have contributed to make our club what it is today.

UNICO is an acronym for five virtues that help define us: Unity, Neighborliness, Integrity, Charity, and Opportunity. Also, in Italian, Unico means “unique”, and our club is just that. For local Italian-Americans, there is no other organization where you can: meet and form lasting friendships with other distinguished Italian-Americans; share wonderful multi-course dinners each month in the area’s finest restaurants; celebrate our shared Italian ancestry with informative and stimulating Italian heritage presentations; work together for the benefit of charities and those in need throughout the Merrimack Valley; and meet and grant significant college scholarships to amazing and deserving area students of Italian descent. Si, siamo UNICO!

Holding true to our mission of Service Above Self, since our founding, we are proud to have granted $1,100,000 for local charities doing good work in our area and to laudable area students to help afford college. The principal fundraiser that allows us to make the difference we do is our annual UNICO Merrimack Valley Golf Tournament. This year it was held on Monday, September 23rd at the beautiful Haverhill Country Club.
